Hola!
This sadly will be my last blog post-that is until I return
again! Before I left I went on an amazing trip with my friend Anna and her family
to Baños and Misahualli. Baños is a small city where there are tons of
adventure activities like rock climbing, biking, and rafting. We took a bike
ride tour of the surrounding area, went bungee jumping and went on a small hike
to a beautiful HUGE waterfall. After the one day we headed to the Amazon. The
town was super small, but filled with tons of bars restaurants and delicious
carts selling maduros con queso (my favorite!). The town is also known for its Capuchin
monkeys, who freely roam the town and beach.
Esto tristemente va a ser mi último blog- hasta que yo regreso de nuevo! Antes salí Ecuador, tomé un viaje con mi amiga Anna y su familia a Baños y Misahualli. . Baños es una ciudad pequeña y hay mucho actividades como escalada de roca, ciclismo, y rafting. Tomamos un viaje en bicicleta, fuimos puenting, y un excursionismo para ver una GRANDE cascada. Después un día, fuimos a la Amazona. Misahualli es muy pequña, pero hay muchos bars, restaurantes, y carros con maduros con queso ( mi favorite!!). Esta pueblo tiene Capuchinos blancos, y todos son libres.
At Misahualli, we went on a boat tour, visited a local indigenous
village, an animal rescue center and went on a jungle hike! The next day we
spent relaxing in the Napo river, and walking to the largest and oldest tree in
the area.
En Misahualli, fuimos
un viaje en barco, visitamos pueblo indígena y un zoológico para las rescates,
y fuimos un excursionismo de la selva. El día próximo, descansamos y nadamos en
el Río Napo y después caminábamos al árbol más antiguo y más grande en la área.
After my brief trip, I returned to Cuenca for final goodbyes
and last minute errands for my projects. When I returned, much to my happiness,
new outdoor aviaries where constructed for birds in quarantine and the
volunteer program I had started was well underway! Ernesto also told me my education
posters will be placed in another park as well! It was bittersweet to see
everything I had started in its completion, only to have to say goodbye. Amaru
and Cuenca have given an invaluable experience and given me opportunities I
would not have elsewhere. I have made some amazing friends and I believe even a
new home.
Después mi viaje, yo
volví a Cuenca para despedidas y los recados para mis proyectos. Cuando yo
regresé, estuve muy contenta, porque los aviaries para cuarentena son terminé y
mi programa de voluntarios estaba haciendo bien. Y Ernesto me dijo que mis
posters de educación va á poner en Puma Pungo. Fue muy triste para ver todos
mis proyectos terminé y sé que necesito salir. Amaru y Cuenca me dio una
experiencia invaluable y oportunidades no tengo en los Estados. Hice amigos
increíble y creo que incluso un nuevo casa.
